The McDonald Family

“It was a great experience. We heard it could be trying, but I would definitely build again and it would definitely be with Rich.
“We learned about Heartland Builders from a fellow employee. Rich had built their home and he had nothing but good things to say about Rich. We found it all to be true.

"We initially met Rich at his Parade Home and it turned into a great relationship. We took him on a road trip to visit three different lots we were considering. We told him what we wanted in a home, preferably a walkout, and Rich described the pros and cons of each lot. He helped us visualize the plan on each lot. We purchased the third of three lots because of the size and location, with four wooded acres, where we could afford the house we wanted with a peaceful wildlife setting.

“What I liked most about Rich was that he was organized, thorough, and he made the building process relatively easy. The only challenges we had were with doubts in our own tastes. But we worked with Rich’s interior designer, who helped us pick colors and other design aspects. He also helped us redesign the plans for our kitchen to meet our expectations. We just love it! We get nothing but compliments on our kitchen. I can’t imagine anyone doing any better.

“Rich gave us a complete schedule of the building process, along with deadlines that had to be met to move in on time. And he met it. To Rich, every aspect of the building process is important. Every time we visited the building site, it was clean and neat. All of Rich’s contractors always responded immediately with any concern. He communicated with us the entire way to keep us apprised of the progress.

“We love our home. We really, really love it. It’s roomy without being ostentatious. It’s a great house to raise a family. Rich and his wife are great people. They are fun to talk to and meet with. They even left champagne and a house-warming card when we moved in. We continue to keep in touch and we remain friends.”
