Our Online Homeowner Portal Makes Building a Home Easy & Enjoyable!
We know that building a new home is an important endeavor, and at Heartland Builders we are dedicated to making our process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We give our homeowners access to Co-Construct, an online homeowner portal that provides secure access to all the details of their home’s projects, as well as real-time updates. Whether they are at home, at work, on the road, or on vacation, all of their project’s information is at their fingertips – selections, upgrades, financial decisions, questions, documents, photos, and more!

Our in-house marketing and IT guru, Cindy, is pretty excited about Co-Construct. “It allows our clients to sit in their jammies, eating popcorn and choosing their selections – with pricing. For example, they can choose quartz countertops, and see how it affects the cost of their home. Then, they can decide if they want to stay with quartz or switch to granite instead. And while they are choosing their selections, if they have a question for the interior designer, they can write a message right there. The designer will get an email and be able to respond. How cool is that!”
Once a homeowner signs a contract, if they decide to make a change, we will enter a change order in Co-Construct for them to approve. We will never do anything without them approving the charge or credit. That way there are NO surprises. All changes to the home, and any money deposited, are entered in the Financial area so clients can always see where they are financially.
Co-Construct also allows them to see their schedule of construction, and see what is being done at their home each day. (Which is a great feature if they can’t visit the site regularly!) There is a Files & Photos area where we upload progress pictures, along with the information that we send to the bank and title company. When the home is complete, we use the Warranty area to track warranty requests and communicate with the homeowner. Again, everything is transparent and all in one location online!

We love that we’ve been able to take some of the anxiety out of the homebuilding process, while helping our homeowners enjoy what is a really exciting part of their lives.
